Edinburgh Airport Taxi & Private Transfers

About Edinburgh Airport Transfers

Edinburgh Airport (IATA: EDI, ICAO: EGPH) is Scotland’s primary international gateway, handling over 14 million passengers annually. Situated in Ingliston, approximately 8.5 miles west of Edinburgh City Centre, the airport provides immediate road access to the A8, M8 (towards Glasgow), and M9 (towards Stirling and the Highlands).

While Edinburgh Trams and Airlink 100 buses provide public transit along fixed routes to Princes Street, pre-booked private transfers offer seamless, door-to-door transit directly to your hotel, university hall, golf club, or private residence — completely eliminating the physical strain of hauling heavy luggage through crowded stations or up steep historic wynds.

Terminal Pickup Instructions

For pre-booked private hire vehicles, collections take place at the designated Pre-Booked Private Hire Pickup Area situated immediately adjacent to the multi-storey car park opposite the main terminal doors. Your driver monitors your flight touchdown, allowing 30 to 45 minutes for passport control and baggage reclaim before meeting you.
